Inject your beds and borders with a vibrant holiday atmosphere by growing this extra special mixture of native Californian plants. They are are hassle-free and easy to grow, just sow direct outdoors in the garden. It is a bright and uplifting mix, which is brilliant for beds and borders, especially planted in drifts. It prefers any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun.
Subject to availability, the packet contains mix of the following: Oenothera Missourensis, Layia Platyglossa, Gilia Capitata, Nemophila Insignis, Eschscholzia, Clarkia Elegans, Phacelia Campanula. Sow from March to May outdoors where they are to flower once the soil has warmed. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sprinkle the seed thinly over the surface, then rake lightly to ensure seed is just covered. Alternatively, sow 1.5mm deep in drills, 30cm apart. Germination usually takes 14 to 21 days.
