Thompson & Morgan Flower Begonia Chanson Pink & White Bicolour F1 Hybrid 30 Seed

£2.99

Begonia - Chanson Pink & White Bicolour F1 Hybrid

This is an outstanding basket variety producing long trailing stems, smothered in large double and semi-double Camelia-like flowers, in two spectacular bicolour shades. Ideal for filling baskets or window boxes, from July right though to October. Height: 23-30cm.

Sow seeds from Mid-January to mid-March on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays. Do not cover the seed. Place in a propagator or warm place, and keep at a temperature of around 24-27C. After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 15-60 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Gradually acclimatise young plants to outdoor conditions for 1-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost, 15-2cm apart, or plant into baskets and containers. For best results, provide a rich, light, well-drained soil in full sun or part shade.

Caution: Dust-like seeds. To open, hold over a sheet of white paper, cut along three sides of inner pack and carefully open out flat. Tap the packet gently to dislodge seed.
