Mangetout - Kennedy
British breeding from Oregon Sugar Pod has produced this attractive, darker green and sweeter-tasting mangetout variety. The flowers set earlier and yields are higher than Oregon, whilst Mangetout Pea Kennedy’s strong plant habit coupled with its resistance to powdery mildew will extend the picking season.
Sow from March to June. Sow seeds every 10 days to ensure successional crops. Sow seed 5cm apart, 5cm deep and in rows 75cm apart. Plants will require some support with pea netting or twiggy sticks. Water plants regularly, especially when in flower as this will improve the crop.
