Nigella - Damascena Mulberry Rose
This is a gorgeous mixture of Love-in-a-Mist, with spectacular double blooms in a delightful blend of rose, pink and white bicolour shades followed by intriguing seed pods. Nigella Mulberry Rose is eye-catching sown as drifts in borders, or used as a cut flower.
Sow seeds from April to May or August to September. Sow seeds outdoors where they are to flower. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sow 6mm deep, in rows 30cm apart. For spring/summer flowering pot plants sow seeds in a cool greenhouse or conservatory in late summer/early autumn. Grow on cool conditions in full light and water sparingly. When large enough to handle, thin out seedlings to 15cm apart.
