Thompson & Morgan Flower Stocks Tudor Tapestry 50 Seed

£2.99

Stocks - Tudor Tapestry

This is an exclusive mixture of wonderfully fragrant, spicy-clove garden stock. The plants are dwarf, with a branching habit and they produce short compact flower spikes in five classically Tudor colours: appleblossom, pink, purple, red and silvery-blue. It is fantastic in patio containers or exposed sites where their perfume pervades the air.

Germinate from February to April at 15C on the surface of a good free draining, damp seed compost, but do not exclude light, which is beneficial to germination. Apply a layer of vermiculite, 6mm deep. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days.

PLEASE NOTE: Plants can be selected for doubleness. After germination, reduce the temperature and the seedlings will change colour. Only the yellow-green/palest seedlings will produce double flowers, simply discard others and you will result in 100% double seedlings. Transplant seedlings, when large enough to handle into trays or 7.5cm pots. Grow on in cooler conditions for at least 14 days before planting out. Plant outside after all risk of frost, 3cm apart, or grow in 7.5cm pots indoors.
