Sweet Pea - Everlasting White Pearl
Magnificent, distinctive pearl-like clusters of dazzling white flowers. One of the finest white cut flowers in existance flowering over a long period. They thrive in full sun, love to scramble over tall shrubs, fences etc. and are equally at home on trellises, walls, arbours and pergolas.
Soak the seeds in cold water for two hours before sowing speed germination. Sow to late winter to early spring 6mm (¼in) deep in a good, free draining, seed compost. Make sure the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 10-21 days at 13-18C (55-65F). Any seeds that don't germinate after this period can be dug up lightly filed to make a small scratch on the seed coat and replanted.
Transplant when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Grow on in a coldframe or sheltered spot and plant out in autumn 45cm (18in) apart into fertile well drained soil in full sun.
