North American Mix
Get the wild, prairie look in your beds and borders this summer with this extra special mixture of native North American plants. They are hassle-free and easy to grow. Sow direct outdoors in the garden. This is a colourful, varied mix, which prefers any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun.
Subject to availability, this packet contains mix of the following; Gilia Capitata, Nemophila Insignis, Nemophila Maculata, Godetia, Alyssum White, Delphinium Consolida, Rudbeckia, Linum Rubrum, Eschscholzia, Clarkia, Iberis Umbellata, Papaver Rhoeas.
Sow outdoors March to May where they are to flower once the soil has warmed. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sprinkle the seed thinly over the surface, then rake lightly to ensure seed is just covered. Alternatively, sow 1.5mm deep in drills, 30cm apart. Germination usually takes 14 to 21 days. As seedlings germinate, carefully thin out any that are too close together with a trowel and replant elsewhere. Regular removal of spent flowers will encourage further blooming.
