Old Man's Beard - Clematis Vitalba
The classic Old Man's Beard gets its name from the wonderful white fluff that are on the fruits. It flowers earlier in the summer with green-white flowers.
As with many perennials, germination is erratic. To get the best results plant from October onwards and expose to the winter weather or in the spring and summer put in the freezer for a couple of weeks to simulate winter.
