Eryngium Bourgatii - Sea Holly
This is a wonderful variety that has the classic Sea Holly flowers that are loved by flower arrangers. The foliage of this variety is very ornamental with lightly veined leaves.
To get the best germination the seeds need a period of cold. The seed can be grown all year around. In the winter, sow the seeds and place in a cold greenhouse or cold frame. The germination can be slow and erratic so allow up to 3 months. In the spring and summer, sow the seeds and seal in a polythene bag and place in the fridge for a few weeks before placing outside.
