Moraea Huttonii
This is a valuable find from the South African mountains. It features large, iris-like, bright yellow flowers held well above the thin strap-like leaves. These are different from other moraeas as you will agreeably discover when you smell the overwhelming perfume.
Sow at any time, covering with compost or grit 5mm deep, in a cool bright position outside. Seeds can be slow to germinate, so please be patient. Grow on individual seedlings in 3†pots, and then plant out in a well-drained sheltered position.
