These lovely candelabra-type plants shoot up numerous stems bearing deep crimson flowers. They can make the most spectacular, cabbage-like giants when well fed or in moist soil.

Sow the seed finely and evenly, cover with a thin layer of compost. Keep moist and warm. Pot up and then place out in final location.
