Spinach - Missouri
Missouri is a fast growing type of spinach, which can be used as a baby leaf or left to mature. The leaves are a beautiful dark green colour and is resistant to downy mildew and slow to bolt.
Sow from March to May, or from July to October direct into growing site. Sow thinly in shallow drills, 2cm deep with 30cm between the rows. For later sowings, some cloche protection may be required. As seedlings grow, gradually thin out seedlings to 15cm apart. Water well during dry spells of weather to avoid premature bolting. Pick leaves as required from May to June, or August to December.
