This is a superb variety of runner bean that can grow to 7ft tall so needs supporting. The beans have great flavour and appearance. It is often used for showing due to the length and quality of the pods.
Sow the seed indoors from mid April ready to plant after the last frost. The seed can been sown in situ from May onwards. Generally allow 22cm between canes and 60cm between rows using canes to support the plants as they grow. To get a good harvest keep the plants well watered and feed on a regular basis. If you sow in situ plant some extra seed to fill gaps.
