This is a main crop type which has good sized cylindrical stump roots. Excellent colour and texture with a nice flavour. This variety of carrot has roots that regularly reach 20cm length in good soil.
Sow from April to July direct into open ground in rows 15.cm deep and 25cm apart. It can also be sown February to March in a greenhouse or under cloches. Carrot Fly is attracted by thinning, so try to avoid thinning at all. If plants are overcrowded, pull alternate roots when small and use whole.
