Winter Squash - Butternut Ponca
This open pollinated variety produces 1kg fruits on a vigorous vine with good colour and a small seed cavity.
Sow the seeds undercover from April onward, place the seeds on their sides to avoid rotting off at about the depth of the seed. Keep in warm until germination in about a week. Harden off before planting out after the last frost. The seeds can be sold direct when the soil warms up in late spring
