Tomato - Dark Opal
This is a great flavoured dark chocolate coloured cherry tomato. It is a great replacement for the Chocolate Cherry tomato. The plant produces small cherry fruits with well over 100 per plant in a good growing season. It has a good disease tolerance and late blight resistance.
Sow from February onwards in pots. Will need heat to germinate. Plant out in greenhouse from May onwards or outdoors after hardening off in June. Do not allow the plants to get too cold as they will develop a purple tint and growth will slow down.
