Tomato - Riesentraube
Riesentraube, a classic German heirloom variety, translates to "bunch of grapes". It produces clusters of small, round, deep red fruit, with sharp pointed ends. They are strongly flavoured but less sweet than other cherry varieties being reminiscent of the much larger beefsteaks.
Sow from February onwards in pots. Will need heat to germinate. Plant out in greenhouse from May onwards or outdoors after hardening off in June. Do not allow the plants to get too cold as they will develop a purple tint and growth will slow down.
