Tomato - Black from Tula
Whilst this deep reddish-brown Russian beefsteak variety is not as dark as some other "black" tomatoes, it really scores is on taste which is strong, rich and sweetly-sharp with a hint of smokiness.
Sow from February onwards in pots. Will need heat to germinate. Plant out in greenhouse from May onwards or outdoors after hardening off in June. Do not allow the plants to get too cold as they will develop a purple tint and growth will slow down.
