Yarrow - Achillea Millefolium
This hardy perennial grows to the height of 30-90cm. Millefolium meaning 'thousand leaves' and describes the green, aromatic, feathery foliage.
Sow indoors in autumn in prepared seed trays. Protect throughout the winter. Harden off and plant out in spring. Yarrow is a prolific grower in most positions and soils. It does well in seaside gardens, being drought resistant. Cut back after flowering for a fresh supply of leaves and encourage second flush of flowers. Can also be sown direct in situ at any time.
