Digitalis Mertonensis
This variety has short, stout spikes of very large, flattened trumpet-shaped flowers with a distinctive strawberry/coppery colour. It is a valuable plant with soft hairy leaves and a long-lived habit.
Sow in spring and summer on top of the compost. The seed needs light to germinate. Keep at 15 - 20C. Harden off and plant out after the frost has past.
