Seeds grown from experience

JustSeed started with two gardeners, a kitchen table and a love of growing. Since 2008, we've grown into an independent seed company helping gardeners find varieties they'll enjoy growing — from familiar favourites to something a little more unusual.
OUR STORY

From the kitchen table to JustSeed

JustSeed began in 2008 when Sue and Nick started packing seeds around the kitchen table. Both keen gardeners with years of practical growing experience, they began selling seeds online and gradually developed JustSeed into the independent seed business it is today.

As the business grew, so did the range. We added more varieties, developed our own website and found new ways to help gardeners choose what to grow. But one thing hasn't changed: growing remains at the heart of what we do.

Gardeners first

Growing isn't just part of the history of JustSeed — it's still part of what we do.

We grow vegetables for the kitchen, flowers for the garden and containers, and we're always interested in trying something a little different.

Like every gardener, we've had successes, failures and plenty of surprises along the way. That practical experience helps shape the advice we share and the seeds we choose to offer.

A LITTLE MORE UNUSUAL

Growing beyond the ordinary

Our gardening interests have always gone a little further than the everyday vegetable and flower garden.

Nick enjoys the challenge of giant and show vegetable growing, as well as developing interests in plants that are a little less familiar.

He also grows Cheiridopsis, and holds a National Collection. It's another example of the curiosity that has always been part of our gardening.
