Iris Foetidissimia - Citrina

This is an improved variation of the "Welsh Gladwyn Iris", which has pale lemon instead of the normal mauve flowers. The attractive thick evergreen leaves make a wonderful autumn and winter foil for the large pods of bright orange seeds when they burst open.

Cover with compost or grit 5mm deep. Sow anytime and keep moist in a cool, light spot outside. May be slow to germinate. Grow on individual seedlings in 3" pots. Plant out in a well-drained sheltered position.
