Sorrel - Red Veined - Rumex Acetosa
Sorrel Red Veined is a cultivar that adds colour with a delicious, sharp lemon-flavoured salad leaf. Its tender young leaves can be used in lamb and beef stews, in salads and to make soup.
Sow outdoors, in drills, in May, with thin to 30 cm spacing. It is easy to grow, as it likes partial shade and any soil. Cut off flowers to maintain leaf production.
