Chopsuey Greens - Chrysanthemum Coronarium
This varity has an unique, aromatic flavour, which is popular in Oriental cuisine. Chopsuey can be used raw or lightly steamed.
Sow under cover from March to April, in soil around 0.5cm deep in separate pots if possible. Plant out in late May. Or sow direct in final location in April/May, thin to 20 cm spacing. Prefers rich well drained soil in sun. Seedlings and young shoots have aromatic flavour. Becomes bitter if allowed to flower.
