The blog went quiet over February BUT we didn’t. The unseasonable February hot weather and promises of early spring had keen gardeners ordering their seeds early. We have been picking and packing frantically. The poor postie had to come and fill his van up twice a day instead of the more usual single pick up.
The sunshine and warmer temperatures also brought out hibernating butterflies & bees and ladybirds. but before you start sowing your seeds we must still be beware of night time frosts! The March forecast isn’t as kindly with a change for the worst with gales and wintry showers. Keep your seedlings under wraps for a little longer.
