Onion Sets

Sets are the perfect way to get a great harvest of Onions. Starting with the small bulbs they grow quickly into full size bulbs ready to harvest.

There are two main seasons to sow onions.

The Autumn planted bulbs continue to slowly grow over winter and are harvested from early Summer. This is a great use of soil that might otherwise remain empty

The more popular time to plant bulbs is Spring when the sets quickly establish and bulb up ready for drying August onwards.
