It is usually the smaller cherry and plum tomatoes which taste the sweetest. One that has proven reliable, sweet and tasty is Ildi, which regularly produces over 70 yellow pear-shaped tomatoes on one truss. Sungold is very vigorous and popular with the children, picked straight from the bush. Another of our favourites is Pink Brandywine, a large beefsteak heirloom tomato with wonderful flavour, sliced and drizzled with olive oil and black pepper.
