Wellies at the ready!

Calling all Allotmenteers - .wellies at the ready - August 12th-18th is National Allotment Week.
A week long celebration of growing your own in these green spaces, community gardens and even your own backyard. The theme for 2024 will be Celebrating Biodiversity on UK Allotments, sharing useful information about pollinators and wildlife, eco-friendly pest control, companion planting and much more.

Both Nick and I, in our various domestic environments throughout the years have experience of vegetable and flower growing, in back gardens, on allotments, in greenhouses and polytunnels.  Windowsills and hanging baskets have come into play too. We would like to encourage everyone to try growing something of their own from seed.
