A free-flowering multiflora petunia producing plenty of colourful blooms over a long period. Crown Mix is a good choice when you want a dependable summer display with lots of flowers in borders and pots

Petunias take a little patience at the seedling stage because the seeds are tiny, but once established they’re wonderfully rewarding. Start them somewhere warm and bright, plant outside after the danger of frost has passed, then keep them watered and fed for flowers right through summer.
Sow the tiny seeds onto the surface of moist seed compost from January to March. Don't bury them deeply; gently press them into the surface and keep somewhere warm and light while they germinate.
Move seedlings into individual pots once they're large enough to handle. Keep them somewhere bright and frost-free, then harden them off before planting outside once the danger of frost has passed.
Plant in a sunny position and keep containers regularly watered. Feed during the flowering season and remove faded blooms to keep plants tidy and encourage plenty more flowers through summer.
