Carrot - Paris Market
Paris Market, with almost spherical roots, not only has good colour and flavour but is also ideal for production in shallow or stony soils. This variety produces a delicious carrot, especially when eaten young.
Sow from April to July thinly in drills, 1.5cm deep with 20cm between rows. Cover with fine soil and keep moist. Can also be sown February to March in a greenhouse or under cloches. Carrot fly is attracted by thinning, so try to avoid. If necessary, thin in the evenings and remove all trace of debris from the growing site. Ready to harvest from June to November.
