Radish MooliÂ
Mooli is a delicious Japanese type giving long white roots with a crisp, mild flavoured flesh. You can use peeled and sliced in salads or added to stir-fry cooking. This variety of radish has a good heat and disease resistance.
Sow from June to September, sowing thinly in shallow drills 1.5cm deep with 30-35cm between the rows. During hot weather, water the base of the seed drills first before sowing seeds and covering with dry soil. Radish should not be transplanted. Gradually thin seedlings to 10cm apart and harvest as required when young roots are 10-12cm in length. For larger roots space 35cm in between the plants.
