Experience long, hot summer days whatever the weather with this vivid mix of Mediterranean-style plants, guaranteed to give you that holiday feeling. They are hassle-free and easy to grow, sow direct outdoors in the garden. It is perfect bed and border filler.
Subject to availability the packet contains a mix of the following: Antirrhinum, Asperula, Bupleurum, Calendula, Centaurea, Chrysanthemum, Cladanthus, Convolvulus, Delphinium, Echium, Fedia, Iberis, Lavatera, Legousia, Linaria, Linum, Lobularia, Lonas, Maiva, Nigeila, Papaver, Reseda, Roemeria, Silene, Viscaria.
Sow March to May outdoors where they are to flower once the soil has warmed. Prepare the ground well and rake to a fine tilth before sowing. Sprinkle the seed thinly over the surface, then rake lightly to ensure seed is just covered. Alternatively, sow 1.5mm deep in drills, 30cm apart. Germination usually takes 14-21 days. As seedlings germinate, carefully thin out any that are too close together with a trowel and replant elsewhere. Regular removal of spent flowers will encourage further blooming. Prefers any ordinary, well-drained soil in full sun.
