Pumpkin - Jack Be Little
This variety produces small round pumpkins about 7.5cm in diameter weighing 75 - 100g. The pumpkins turn bright orange colour when ripe. They can be cut and eaten fresh, used in ornamental use. The hollowed out pumpkin can even be used as a unusual soup bowl.
Sow the seed at the end of April and plant out in a well manured plot during May if you can protect from the cold. Otherwise plant out in June. The plant needs loads of water and regular feeding.
