The plant produces cone-shaped flower heads surrounded by spiky bracts that are metallic blue or silvery-white. Great ornamental plant.
When cultivating Eryngium maritimum in a garden setting, it's essential to provide well-drained, sandy soil and a sunny location to mimic its natural coastal habitat. Additionally, being a hardy plant, sea holly is generally low-maintenance once established.
