Tropaeolum Azureum

This is a fabulous blue climbing perennial nasturtium. Thin twining stems produce many dazzling cobalt blue flowers from the leaf axils of delicate, attractively lobed leaves. It then dies down to deep resting tubers. This is one of the ultimate alpine house plants.

Sow the seed from February through to early summer, covering with vermiculite. Germination can take up to 3 weeks. When they are large enough to handle, pot up and harden off before putting into the final location.
