Hollyhock Chaters Double Mixed

This is a real cottage garden plant with tall strong stems and bright green foliage lined with double flowers in shades of yellow, white, purple and red.

Sow from January to March or July to September. Sow seed on the surface of the compost and cover with a very fine sprinkling of vermiculite or finely sieved compost. Place in a propagator or in warm place at around 15-20°C until the seeds germinate. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant each seedling into the individual pots or a multi-cell tray. Plant out spring raised plants into a sunny border 45cm apart. Late summer/ autumn raised plants can be overwintered in a cold frame and planted out the following spring. Flowers from July to September.
