Paradisea lusitanica

This is a rarely offered seed which is similar to the better known "St Bruno's Lily". It forms a clump of grassy leaves, and the flowers are wonderful fragrant white trumpets. It will self-seed slowly, producing delightful drifts of flowers.

Sow anytime, covering thinly in a pot of good compost in a warm bright position. Keep moist to ensure germination, which may be slow (2-3 months or more). Grow on individual seedlings in 3 inch pots, and then plant out in a well-drained sheltered position.
