Organic Savoy Cabbage Vertus

This is a medium-late variety with round, flattish heads. The leaves are greyish-green and well blistered.

Sow in April and May in short, shallow drills about 1cm deep in open ground of fine soil. When seedlings are about 10cm tall, transplant to the growing site, spacing 35cm apart. Make sure the soil is firm around the roots and water well. If conditions are too dry in May, try sowing seed in plug trays. These can then be easily planted out without disturbing the roots as soon as conditions improve.
