English Bluebell - Hyacinthoides Non-Scripta
This is the wonderful English Bluebell that can be found in so many woodlands around the country. It flowers in spring, and is a wonderful addition to the garden with its beautiful spring time colour.
Bluebell seed requires moist warm conditions followed by a period of chilling before germination can take place so is probably best sown in late summer, but will in time establish from seed sown at any time of the year. They germinate easily and flower after about three years. Well worth the wait!
