Carrots are straightforward and rewarding to grow from seed. Sow them directly where they are to grow, keep the soil moist while they establish and thin seedlings if needed.
Choose a sunny spot with light, stone-free soil. Sow seeds thinly and directly into shallow drills, then cover lightly with soil and water gently.
