How to Grow Carrot Flyaway F1 Seeds

Sow Carrot Flyaway F1 Seeds directly outdoors from March to July into finely prepared, stone-free soil.

Sow seeds approximately 1cm deep in shallow drills and cover lightly with fine soil. Germination usually takes 10–20 days depending on soil temperature.

Thin seedlings carefully as they develop, leaving adequate space between plants for strong root growth.

Grow in a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil and water regularly during dry periods to encourage even root development.

Harvest from early summer through autumn once the roots have reached the desired size.

Carrot Growing Tips

Direct sow where the crop is to mature, as carrots dislike transplanting.

Keep soil consistently moist to help prevent splitting.

Thin seedlings gradually to minimise disturbance.

Although Flyaway F1 has improved resistance to carrot root fly, using fine mesh can provide additional protection in areas with high pest pressure.

Harvest regularly for the sweetest and most tender roots.
