This variety is very similar to 'Ruegen'. The plant is strong growing and the fruit are scarlet red and elongated. This variety is worth planting as it has good production.

Note the fruit are much smaller than the normal cultivated strawberry. The germination of strawberry seed can be slow and erratic but great fun to have this speciality in the garden. Sow from February onwards undercover, keep temperature at 21C. Germination takes 2-3 weeks. Pot up into individual pots and harden off before planting the seedlings out.
