It is perrenial and flowers in the first year.The Swan series can be flowered in the Spring from an Autumn sowing when grown in a cool greenhouse with no special vernalisation treatment required. It reaches the height of 45-60 cm.

How to Sow and Grow Aquilegia from Seed

Sow from May onwards, cover with vermiculite or a thin layer of compost. Germination will take a couple of weeks at 20 - 22C. Pot up in 9 cm pots before planting out in the autumn or spring.
