Carnation - Giant Chabaud Double Mixed
This carnation mix has a beautiful fragrance and a good range of colours. The double flowers are fringed.
Sow from late winter to early spring in a good seed compost, just covering the seed with compost. Make sure that the compost is moist but not wet and seal in a polythene bag until after germination which usually takes 7-14 days at 15-20C. Transplant when large enough to handle into 8cm pots and grow on in cooler conditions. Gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions for 1-15 days before planting out after all risk of frost 38-45cm apart. Grow in a sunny spot on light well drained soil.
