Antirrhinum - Reminiscent Mixed F1 Hybrid

With a fresh citrus fragrance and unusual upward facing flowers, this superb snapdragon is hard to resist. The pastel blooms are carried on compact, bushy plants, attracting bees and other pollinating insects. Antirrhinum 'Reminiscent Mixed' has a particularly long flowering period making this an ideal choice for wildlife borders, beds and containers. Height: 30cm. Spread: 25cm.

Sow Antirrhinum seeds indoors or under glass from January to March on the surface of a good quality seed compost and gently firm down. Place the seed tray in a propagator at a temperature of 20-25C or seal inside a clear polythene bag until germination which takes 10 - 21 days. Keep the compost damp but not wet and do not exclude light. When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into 7.5cm pots and grow Snapdragon plants on in cooler conditions. When all risk of frost has passed, gradually acclimatise to outdoor conditions over 7 - 10 days before planting outdoors. Plant Snapdragons at a distance of 30cm apart on any light, well-drained soil in full sun.
