Garlic Bulbs – Taylors Bulbs (Choose Variety)

Grow delicious homegrown garlic with this selection of premium Taylors Garlic Bulbs, available in three distinctive varieties. Choose from Elephant Garlic, Garcua, or Germidour, each offering different flavours, growing characteristics, and culinary uses.

Garlic is an easy and rewarding crop to grow in gardens, allotments, raised beds, and containers. Once established, plants require relatively little attention before developing into flavourful bulbs ready for harvesting during summer.

Whether you're looking for the enormous mild cloves of Elephant Garlic, an easy-growing variety such as Garcua, or the rich flavour and attractive purple-streaked cloves of Germidour, there is an option to suit almost every kitchen garden.

Available Varieties

Elephant Garlic

Elephant Garlic produces exceptionally large bulbs containing enormous, full-flavoured cloves. Its milder garlic flavour makes it particularly versatile in the kitchen and the substantial cloves are absolutely ideal for roasting.

Despite its impressive size, the flavour is mild enough for the cloves to be used raw in salads, adding a delicious burst of flavour without being overpowering.

This hardy variety can also cope with damper growing conditions than regular garlic, making it a useful option where conditions are less than perfect.

How to Grow Taylors Garlic Bulbs

Choose a sunny position with fertile, well-drained soil and keep the growing area free from weeds.

Separate garlic bulbs into individual cloves shortly before planting, taking care not to damage them.

Plant each clove with the pointed end facing upwards and provide sufficient spacing for the developing bulbs.

Elephant Garlic can be planted during autumn or spring and can tolerate somewhat damper conditions than regular garlic. A general fertiliser can be added to help improve yields.

Garcua Garlic performs particularly well in a sunny, weed-free position with good drainage.

Germidour Garlic should be planted during late autumn for harvesting the following summer and can be grown successfully in open ground, raised beds, containers, or pots.

Keep plants watered during prolonged dry periods and control weeds throughout the growing season.

Harvest once the plants mature during summer and allow the bulbs to dry thoroughly before storage.
