Beetroot - Bulls Blood

This variety dates back to pre-1900. It has deep red root and leaves. It can be used as beetroot but mainly used as salad leaf to add some great colour or in ornamental gardens.

Sow any time from April to the autumn. Sow in shallow drills and cover with a little soil. Keep the plant well watered. Multiple sowing will give a regular crop of leaves and beet. If grown for leaves then cut the leaves and allow to grow again.
