Fiery Tongues F1 is a dramatic, high-impact hot chilli producing exceptionally long, curly fruits with a glossy red finish and distinctive wrinkled tops. Reaching up to 20–30 cm in length, these striking chillies deliver a lively heat of around 28,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), paired with excellent flavour for everyday cooking.

Plants are semi-erect and vigorous, producing 30+ fruits per plant over a long cropping period. How to Grow Chilli Pepper ‘Fiery Tongues’ F1

Sow seeds indoors from January to March using a heated propagator or warm windowsill. Maintain temperatures of 20–25°C for reliable germination. Sow thinly and cover lightly with compost.

Pot on seedlings once they are large enough to handle. As plants grow, move into final containers and provide canes or support, as indeterminate plants will continue to grow and crop throughout the season.

Grow in a greenhouse for best results, or place outdoors in a warm, sheltered position once all risk of frost has passed. Water regularly and feed weekly with a balanced or high-potash fertiliser once flowering begins.

Harvest fruits when fully red for the best flavour and heat.

⚠️ Handling advice: Chillies are hot. Wash hands thoroughly after handling fruits and avoid touching eyes or skin.
