How to Grow Mint Seeds
Sow Mint Seeds indoors from February to May or outdoors from April to June into moist, well-drained seed compost or fertile garden soil.
Sow seeds onto the surface and lightly press them into the compost, as they require light to germinate. Keep the compost moist and warm, with germination usually taking 10–21 days.
Transplant seedlings into their final position once large enough to handle, spacing plants around 30cm apart.
Grow in full sun or partial shade in fertile, moisture-retentive soil. Containers are recommended to help prevent the plants from spreading.
Harvest leaves regularly throughout the growing season to encourage fresh new growth.
