Habanero Aroma Chilli Seeds
Habanero Aroma is a standout Capsicum chinense chilli variety prized for its explosive fruity flavour, intense citrus fragrance, and eye-catching colour changes as the fruits mature. Starting deep violet, the chillies ripen through orange before finishing bright red, creating a striking ornamental and edible display on patios, balconies, and in greenhouses.
Compact yet productive, plants reach around 40 cm tall and reliably produce approximately 20 smooth, glossy fruits per plant, each about 5 cm long. Despite their attractive appearance, these chillies deliver serious heat, measuring over 100,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU) — perfect for bold sauces, marinades, and spicy cooking.
Native to Central America, Capsicum chinense varieties are famous for their complex flavours and high heat levels. Habanero Aroma combines both beautifully, making it an excellent choice for chilli enthusiasts who want flavour first, with fire to match.

How to Grow Habanero Aroma Chillies
Sow seeds January to March in a heated propagator or warm greenhouse, keeping temperatures consistently between 25–28°C for best germination. Sow thinly and cover lightly with fine compost or vermiculite.
Pot on seedlings once they develop true leaves. As plants grow, transfer into their final containers and provide light support, as indeterminate plants will continue to grow and crop throughout the season.
Grow under cover for best results, or place outdoors in a warm, sheltered spot once all risk of frost has passed. Water regularly and feed weekly with a high-potash fertiliser once flowering begins.
Harvest fruits at full colour for maximum flavour and heat.
⚠️ Handling advice: Chillies are very hot. Avoid touching eyes and wash hands thoroughly after handling fruits.
